Privacy
KisoStats is designed with privacy as a core principle:
- No data collection — KisoStats does not collect any personal or usage data
- No analytics — No tracking, no telemetry, no crash reporting
- No network requests — KisoStats never connects to the internet

The only permission KisoStats may request is Automation access to Finder, which is used exclusively for the "Empty Trash" cleanup feature. This permission is optional — all other features work without it.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| KisoStats does not appear in the menu bar | Check if KisoStats is running in Activity Monitor. Try quitting and restarting the app. Also check System Settings → Control Center → Menu Bar Only. |
| Cleanup does not free expected space | Some system files may be in use and cannot be removed while active. Try restarting your Mac and running the cleanup again. |
| Permission errors during cleanup | KisoStats needs Automation permission to empty the Trash. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation and ensure KisoStats has access to Finder. |
| CPU/RAM shows incorrect values | System metrics update every 2 seconds. Wait a moment for accurate readings to stabilize. |
| Some cleanup categories are grayed out | Categories with 0 bytes are automatically disabled. Click the refresh button to rescan. |
